Point of Care Cardiac Ultrasound Module
This learning module is intended for non-cardiologists who wish to gain knowledge about Point of Care Cardiac Ultrasonography. Completing the section will give the participant a broader understanding in the utility of performing focused cardiac ultrasound examinations in critical care settings of the emergency room or ICU.
Completing this module can be used to obtain up to 9 hours of Category II CME credits through self-reporting of actual time spent doing the online learning which includes both questions and answers. The certificate of credit is downloadable at the end of the learning activity.
Based on our experience the time allotment for credits is suggested as follows:
- Overview article with questions and answers: 1 hour
- 6 Streaming lectures with questions and answers: 3 hours (.5 hour per lecture)
- 30 Cardiac Ultrasound Imaging cases with discussions, questions and answers: 5 hours (.5 hour per 3 cases)
